Kyle McMahon

We'd like to introduce you to Kyle McMahon!

After several months of collecting resumes, receiving filled-out questionnaires, and prayerfully discussing how it seems God is leading, Sojourn's elders are really excited about the potential partnership between Sojourn and Kyle. At this point in the process, we're putting him before you - the Sojourn family - and we're asking you to jump in and get to know Kyle.

Four Ways to Show Hospitality

A few weeks ago we featured the book review of "The Gospel Comes With A House Key".  It is written by the super-insightful Rosaria Butterfield and is available on our Book Wall.  She makes the case that hospitality has been a beautiful reflection of the gospel from the beginning.  She also invites us to consider how we may be missing out on the blessing of community that result from hospitality being a more central part of our lives.  It helps us more deeply process what Paul meant in Romans 15:7 when he says "welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you".

Kids Hope - Teacher Appreciation Week For the last six years, Sojourn has served Silver Lake Elementary through Kids Hope USA. We have developed a strong partnership with the school through this mentoring program and continue to seek out opportunities to serve the students and their staff.    Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up soon and we’d like to express our gratitude to the staff at Silver Lake Elementary by restocking their classrooms with some needed supplies!  Teachers often run low on basic supplies this time of year and end up purchasing these items out of their own pockets. Please consider helping us with this effort by buying an item or two from the following list.  There will be a collection bin located at the Welcome Desk starting this Sunday.  We will be collecting supplies over the next two weeks.   We appreciate your help in serving these teachers as they pour into the lives of the littlest members of our community! Needed Items:      Band-Aids Disinfectant wipes Dry-erase markers Eraser caps Kleenex Pencils Post-it notes Sandwich bags      Sanitizing wipes For more information about the Kids Hope USA mentoring ministry, please contact Janet Whipple at janetwhipple@gmail.com.
